How to calculate conversion rate
Conversion rate = conversions ÷ visitors × 100. If 2,000 people visited your pricing page and 50 signed up, the conversion rate is 50 ÷ 2,000 = 2.5%.
Be consistent about what you count: unique visitors (or sessions) in the denominator, and each converting visitor once in the numerator. Mixing pageviews and visitors is the most common reason two tools disagree.
Why the confidence range matters
A rate measured on 100 visitors is much less certain than the same rate on 10,000. The range shown is a 95% Wilson interval: with few visitors it is wide, which is a warning not to read too much into small differences. To compare two versions properly, size the test first with the A/B test sample size calculator.
Value per visitor
Revenue ÷ visitors tells you what each visit is worth on average. If a visitor is worth $1.80, paying $0.90 per click on ads is profitable; paying $3 is not. Revenue ÷ conversions gives the average order (or deal) value.
Averages hide where conversions come from. Analisa breaks down goals and funnels by referrer, UTM campaign and country, so you see which channels bring visitors worth paying for.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good conversion rate?
It depends on what counts as a conversion and on the traffic source. Many e-commerce sites see 1–3% purchase rates, while a newsletter signup or free trial can be much higher. Compare against your own history and between your channels rather than an industry average.
Should I use visitors or sessions?
Either works if you are consistent. Visitors answer “what share of people converted”; sessions answer “what share of visits converted”. Sessions-based rates are lower when people come back several times before buying.
What is the 95% range?
It is a Wilson score interval: the range where the true conversion rate very likely lies, given how many visitors you measured. More visitors make it narrower.
