Honest comparison

Analisa vs Plausible

Both measure traffic without cookies or personal data. The differences are in what comes with it, how each one charges, and where your data can live.

Plausible is the reference for simple, respectful analytics: a one-page dashboard, open source code and a self-hosted option. If you want a lean replacement for Google Analytics, it does that very well.

Analisa starts from the same privacy stance but is built around one question: where do the visitors who convert come from? Goals and funnels by source, UTM and country, with Web Vitals and JavaScript errors in the same dashboard.

Pick Analisa if…

  • You want funnels on the entry paid plan, without moving to the top tier.
  • You want Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) and JavaScript errors next to your traffic.
  • You want a free plan to start, not a trial.
  • Your event volume is growing and a per-event limit fits you better than per-pageview.

Pick Plausible if…

  • You need to self-host today — Community Edition is free and open source (AGPL).
  • You want to import your Google Analytics history — Plausible can; Analisa can’t yet.
  • You need years of history: Plausible keeps 3 years on Starter; Analisa keeps 30 days (Free) to 730 days (Scale).
  • You want ready-made integrations such as the Looker Studio connector.

Moving from Plausible

You can run both side by side while you compare numbers. Nothing in Plausible has to be switched off first.

  1. 1

Create the account and the site

Sign up free, add your site and list your domain under Allowed origins. Copy the site_key.

  2. 2

Add the script next to Plausible

Same script-tag pattern: paste the snippet in <head> — see the install guide or the guide for your stack.

  3. 3

    Recreate goals and events

Plausible events (plausible("Signup")) become analytics.track("signup"). Pageview goals become path goals; then rebuild your funnels with the same steps.

  4. 4

Compare for a week or two, then remove the old script

Numbers won’t match exactly — every tool counts visitors and sessions a little differently. When you’re comfortable, remove the Plausible script.

Frequently asked questions

Can Analisa import my Plausible data?

Not yet. Your history stays in Plausible (you can export it as CSV there); Analisa starts counting the day its script goes live.

Do both work without a cookie banner?

Neither sets cookies. Analisa keeps one random anonymous ID in localStorage to count returning visitors once; some readings of GDPR/ePrivacy treat any browser storage as needing consent, so check with your DPO.

Why does Analisa charge per event instead of per pageview?

Because the SDK sends more than pageviews: custom events, Web Vitals and errors count too. To stretch your quota, turn off what you don’t use (for example autoWebVitals: false).

Can I self-host Analisa like Plausible CE?

Not yet. A self-hosting guide is on the roadmap. If self-hosting is a requirement today, Plausible Community Edition is the right pick.
